The primary mission of this department is to educate students in both the basic sciences and applied biotechnologies to meet the needs of the current biomedical and biotech industries as well as economic growth of the society.  We foresee the possibility to create an ideal environment to foster learning and teaching to the highest standards and to give our graduates the best possible step up as they strive to achieve their personal ambitions in the world of science and technology in Taiwan or around the world.
